Micheal Walton - Atlanta GA
Updated: Jun 16
Why don’t you tell us about yourself, how would you describe yourself?
My name is Micheal Walton and I live in Atlanta, GA. I recently retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service. I'm a lover of music, live concerts, documentaries, and plays (although I have never seen one in person). I'm also a DJ and have been doing that since
2001. I lived in South Korea for one year. Now, I'm a full-time entrepreneur with a Coaching/Consulting Business for men called The Man Initiative. I'm a sociable person that loves meeting people and making new friends.
What do we need to know about your professional life?
Life Coach/Consultant for men.
What would you say is something that makes you stand out from others?
I have a heart and genuinely care about people. I want to see people winning in all aspect of life. I am an encourager, so if you are around me be aware, lol. I love to speak and pour into people. I'm a loyal and compassionate person. I'll rock with people until they show me otherwise.
Single or married? Tell us why you make a great mate?
Single. I'm just a down to earth man who believes in love. I still like chivalry and want to show that to my mate every chance I get. I truly believe in being there and supportive of my mate. I'll be her biggest fan, cheerleader, and intercessor.
What is something that you hope to improve about yourself?
To get in better shape. I'm working on getting my running legs back, lol.
What words of advice would you give to black men concerning staying positive in today's times?
Be true to yourself and know that you have a voice that deserves to be heard. Don't focus on your hang-ups and/or shortcomings in life. We are not perfect and will not get things right all the time. Learn from them and continue to move forward with life. Find a trusted person that you can talk too so you won't keep things bottled up. Speak positive words into your life and about yourself. Lastly, stay connected to your spiritual foundation.
Name three things you can’t live without.
God, music equipment (lol), books
What made you start The Man Initiative?
The Man Initiative started with a vision in 2015 to inspire all men to believe in themselves using positive communication, mentorship, unity, and brotherhood. My mission is to empower men who often face and cope with various life experiences and daily challenges resulting from work, family, and society. Additionally, men should become more aware of who they are, their value, self-worth, and significance. I encourage men to see themselves as supportive and effective fathers, husbands, sons, leaders, innovators, role models, entrepreneurs, and professionals. I help men find clarity, significance, and connection in their lives
